How INALA collects, uses and protects personal information, in terms of Protection of Personal Information Act 4 of 2013.

Who we are
INALA Water Investments (Pty) Ltd, registration number 2024/682838/07, registered office 304 The Hills, Buchanan Square, 160 Sir Lowry Road, Woodstock, Cape Town 7925, South Africa. In this notice we are "INALA", "we" or "us". INALA is the responsible party for the personal information described here.
What we collect
If you send us an enquiry we collect the information you give us in the form: your name, organisation, work email address, telephone number and region if you provide them, and the description of your situation. If you ask to receive our water briefs we collect your email address for that purpose.
Our web server keeps standard technical logs, which may include your IP address, browser type and the pages you requested. These are used to operate and secure the site.
This website uses cookies and similar technologies, including analytics and tracking tools, to understand how visitors use the site and improve their experience. We do not sell personal information or use it for automated decision-making or profiling.
Why we use it
To respond to your enquiry, to assess whether our service fits your site, to send the water briefs if you have asked for them, and to keep records we are required to keep. Where we rely on your consent, you gave it when you submitted the form, and you may withdraw it at any time.
Who we share it with
Personal information may be shared with Impact Water Solutions (Pty) Ltd and other companies within the Oasis Water Platform group where that is necessary to assess your site or respond to your enquiry, and with service providers who host this website or handle email on our behalf, under agreements requiring them to protect it. We may disclose information where the law requires it. Some of our service providers process data outside South Africa; where that happens we require protection comparable to the standard POPIA sets.
How long we keep it
Enquiry records are kept for as long as the commercial relationship or opportunity is live, and thereafter for the period we are required or permitted to keep business records. Brief subscriptions are kept until you unsubscribe.
Your rights
You may ask us what personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct or delete it, object to our processing of it, or withdraw consent. You may also complain to the Information Regulator of South Africa. To exercise any of these, email contact@inalawater.com and mark it for the attention of the Information Officer.
Security
We take reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect personal information against loss, unauthorised access and unlawful processing. No transmission over the internet can be guaranteed secure, so please do not send confidential site or commercial information through the enquiry form. Ask us for a mutual confidentiality agreement first and we will send one.
